I just wanted to give props to the namesake of our little beauties.....a true beauty in itself.

i love the P51 (the P38 was always one of my favorites too )

in my "i wanna grow up and be a fighet pilot" stage, that was the plane i wanted. ill pass on your fancy schmancy f-16, and f-14



although i do have a soft spot fot the f/a-18 hornet

Seeing as how you live so close.....I hear there's a guy in Hollister who gives rides in his P51 Mustang. I'm looking into it. Nothing can match the sound of a stang on a 450mph low level fly-by....

My mom was a "Rosie the Riviter" in WW2 and she rivited the center sections of the P38 Lightnings.

450 mph... i can only wish....

i swear to god, no matter what new planes come out in the future, or even compared to the state of the art ones now, there aint no plane cooler then the mustang. its just awesome. no argument, it just is

thats pretty cool that ur mom worked on planes
even cooler is that they're P38s

Agree.....that's a sin :notnice: ....but close your eyes as it passes by and you get chills.

Thanks, should arrive in a week or two. We would probably speaking German if it was not for those planes. Jelly Belly kinda takes away from their beautiful lines.
