Newbie wants to get into mods

I don't have a stang, though that is my next car. Where should I go to learn about the full workings of the 2005+ mustang (books, sites, etc...) Actually, general knowledge would be good since i dont know too much about the inner workings (only recently finding time)

(i want to beat a my neighbor ulimately; SC z06)

thank you
jason

You want to beat a blown Z06 in a Mustang?

You're looking at a new Shelby right about now, then.

Get some subscriptions to magazines like Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords, Hot Rod, Car Craft, and the like. They have tons of good articles on power adders.

so where did you guys learn about muscle cars and...

the inner workings... like what parts are better than what ... what does what.. i mean it seems like there are millions of combinations to get a nice beefed up stang... im assuming its not trial and error cause that would be a lot of wasted money

Best way to learn about cars is to hang out with experience car guys, get a car of your own, and get to work.

Id say, because you are so new, get in with some experienced car guys that know what they are talking about. And dont go crazy with the modifications, because thats the easiest way to screw things up. Just do a little at a time, and dont try to go against that z06 until youve learned your car, and that will take quite a while.
