Need some help from the community

Okay so I'm looking for my first real car, I have a budget of about 23k and I am deffinately going to be getting a mustang. The question is, however, which year and style to buy. I have my eyes currently on two models. The first is the brand new 2015 mustang, the problem is that I can only afford up to the ecoboost trim. My other choice is to get a used 5.0 from say, 2011 or 2012 with about 30,000-45,000 miles on the car. I need help from someone with experience on how long a 5.0 will run without any problems at all or rather how many miles before problems can be expected, whether it be engine, transmission or any other big ticket issues.
Any opinions on which to get would also be greatly appreciated, mainly whether it would be frowned upon to have a 4 cylinder mustang?
Thanks

You should able to get a nice pre owned Mustang with your budget. The 4.6 and 5.0 engines are very reliable, the key to a long engine life is proper maintenance.

As far as purchasing a 2015 Ecoboost Mustang,go for it! It will be your car... who cares what someone else thinks. I have friends who test drove it and liked it very much.

Nothing wrong with the Ecoboost, you're the one who is going to be making the payment's so buy what you want! Personaly i would check into a used Terminator or low mileage 2011 5.0. Thats just me though, i gotta have a V8! You already win for deciding to buy a Mustang!

Haha hell yeah it'll be my car! That's why I'm excited about finally getting one! So if you were in my place, which one would you go for? Is the tech savvy 2015 the better choice over a V8? Or is the V8 the better choice because well, it's a V8?

Another thing you need to consider is insurance rates on the different cars. It may make a difference of what you can pay. Insurance on a 5.0 is going to be much higher than the V6 or EcoBoost.

I would go for the EcoBoost, The can be made to be pretty quick and the insurance will be less.

Alright thanks man! I really appreciate the input, I think I will be getting the ecoboost for the reason of insurance costs, as well as gas

Do you have 23k cash to put down? If so, get a 2015 GT and never look back.
