Need help deciding...
Got the itch to add a new pony to the stable. Saw a beautiful '07 Shelby GT today for a decent price and now I really need some help deciding which way to go:
2007 Shelby GT w/all the Shelby & Ford Racing goodies
- Performance white/silver stripes
- Shaker 500
- 13,500 mi
- All original, including all manuals
- One owner
- Not drilled for a front plate!
Plus keep the current '06 GT and have a pair of S197s again. And have the benefit of having a true special edition car that was mod'd in LV at the Shelby shop. Figure I can slap a blower on and have a hell of a driver/show car and do it for under $30K.
OR
Sell the current '06 GT (which is going to be a LOT tougher than it sounds, for sentimental reasons) and buy a new 2012 5.0 GT 401A with a bunch of bells and whistles. Which I'll likely drop another $15K into with mods for about $50K total. And I'll get that new car smell.
If I can get what I'm thinking of asking for my '06, either option is going to cost me about $30K out of pocket. But Option A leaves me with two really nice early model S197s, including a SE, and saves me the anguish from having to part with my '06. Option B leaves me with one really nice late model S197.
Man, I'm torn...

Yeah, thought a bit about option C too. Two years is still a long time to wait...
Luckily (perhaps?), after getting to take a closer look at the Shelby GT today, she was in pretty rough shape for only have 13K miles on her. Had to pass.
But not entirely giving up on option 1 yet. This beauty caught my eye today for a very reasonable price...
