I just saw a promo for a evening news segment CBS is doing on auto makers entering into the aftermarket customization business. They showed several shots of the Mustang in the promo. Anyways, it may be nothing... but it looked kinda interesting. Just thought I'd pass along a heads up.

Sorry... I left out the specifics. It's national evening news. I guess times would vary depending on your area. Airs at 6:30 EST in our area.

CBS News? I hope they don't make up something about 2005 Mustang. The dead guy said "The Mustang is really a KIA".

Why would they make that up?
Sounds interesting.

Remember Dan Rather and the Bush National Guard story? The one where "the documents are made up, but the story in them is true..."

I thought that's what he meant. The guys own wife said the docs were fake...but the sentiment was not. Apparently what was in them really happened. I've seen docs that had more damning evidence than those however.

Did you notice if the promo included a red 05 mustang with white stripes? I was told by a guy at Galpin Ford that he was interviewed by CBS at the LA Auto show. He was talking about the red mustang that they had in their booth.

Yes apparently CBS has a well placed source within a rival camp that claims that the 1960's Mustang needed 'special handling' and was given preferential treatment at the time because it was a member of the well known FORD family. This casts into doubt the true capabilities and handling characteristics of the present day edition which has been frequently seen in the news and has won major popularity contests this past year.

Others who actually tested the 60's edition claim that it was, in fact, the real deal back then and that today's edition has just gotten better with age and experience. One thing is certain - everyone recognizes the present edition and it seems sure to attract much media attention over the next several years! ^_^

I was told there would be a lot of discussion about how Ford has teamed up with the aftermarket to develop products.
