Is this a Mustang???

On our Vanishing Point / Rte 66 trip this past May we came across two wild horses in the middle of nowhere in Nevada. They were together. I'm no horse guy but was wondering if these were Mustangs? If I had my GT on this trip I would have tried to take a photo from a distance of the car and horse. That would have been cool. Not so much in an R/T.

If you've ever out in MT/ WY area on one of your trips check out the Pryor Mountain area if you're close enough.

I think "Mustang" refers to any free roaming, feral horse ... so I guess that means yes, it is / they are

Well according to what I have heard and read, and of course visiting the all knowing and "Never Wrong" GOOGLE, I concur with the posts above... Yes if those are Wild (Feral) then they are likely Mustangs. (and I sure don't see any shoes on the last one, so likely wild.)

They had 11 die recently in the Roundup in Nevada, need to quit with the Helicopters and get on the ground with them to make sure you are not running them too hard.

I am one that has more respect for things in the wild than for most people I meet since things in the wild do not start with the lying and cheating 2 minutes after you meet them.
I went on 2 Mustang roundups around Carson City years ago, we used Horses since on public land you cannot use any type of Motorized vehicle just for that reason.
