i was searching through eBay, and I saw this:

shelby mustang

its at 125,100 and i cant remember another stang being that high. the next bid meets the reserve, and it'll be a surprise if someone bids lol

i was wondering if anyone had seen a more expensive mustang... and also, in case someone see's a mustang more expensive in the future, they can post it here. thought it would be a good topic

EDIT: Finished at 152K... this one so far holds the record for eBay Mustangs that I know about

The 67 Shelbys are very nice cars, but the prices on them have just gotten ridiculous.

I wonder how much an eleanor clone would be fetching.

I still can't believe they get more than legit '67 Shelby's

at this summers barrett-jackson someone bought a 67 gt 500 that was not painted the original color, the 428 CJ was replaced with a NEW 427, the auto trans was replaced with a 5-speed and the interior was re-done non stock. this car went for $175000. for whole lot less you get a 67 fastback and build/have someone build the same car. it wouldn't be an original shelby, but neither was that one.

i dont mind the cost on the original 100% stock shelbys, boss's etc, but i hate, hate HATE when clones get so much $$ its a real shame.

One thing that you have to remember is that the originals will hold their value much better than a clone. You may pay that kind of money for a clone, but unless it was in the movie or something like that, the clone phase will pass and they'll be stuck with a car that they paid WAAAAAAAAY to much for and are unable to unload it for anything near what they paid for it.

Trends come and go. Shelby's have shown their staying power--they've been big ticket items for over 30 years.

Just my opinion. (Puts on flame-proof shorts to ward off the coming attacks)

It went for $152k

The car is in "just left the factory" condition. I wouldn't mind it!!, never going to happen though

A GT350 just sold at auction near me for £37,500 ($71,300), that was a nice car!
