MOPAR moron
MOPAR moron
So the wife & I hopped into our new GT/CS this evening for a nice little drive through the country to her mom's house. I saw this new black Challenger coming towards us, & as he passed by he slid his car into neutral & mashed the throttle. He had a loud aftermarket exhaust in it, & it scared the crap out of my wife! I thought it was funny. I hope he didn't think I was impressed. I've hated MOPARs since I was a kid in the 70's!
man if they at least gave the challenger some small updates, a LED tail light like the one on the concept, or similar. Interior update, even if it was only the dashboard/console all across, and maybe a little more powerful engine, I might have gone and got a challenger. Such a beautiful and elegant/powerful cruiser.
I never had any hate against any muscle car, like one better then another, but still they get the same level of respect from me, but cant say the same about individual drivers in any car, muscle or not.

Since we got the car my wife says things like this have been happening to her a lot. It's funny because I'm the gearhead, not her! She had a kid in a Camaro tailgating her & trying to bait her into something last week. I told her, "Hey, you're driving a bright red Mustang. It tends to draw attention."
I was probably using too strong of words when I said I hated Mopars. I only truly hate imports. Any American performance car is ok. I think the Challenger is a good-looking car, it's just too bad they made it such a boat. If you see one at a car show sitting next to one from 70-73, there's a huge difference in size.

I never had a problem with the Mopar people - it's seems to always be the Camaro drivers that have to prove something around me. Just the other day one came by with the V6 (you could tell from the ricey-sounding aftermarket exhaust) and some 22's - revved and red-lined and went on his obnoxious merry way. I don't get that from the Challenger/Charger crowd around here.
I can dig the mopars some newer ones and lots of the older ones. I rev on people from time to time it is funny to me and I am sure most of the people I rev on. All in good fun of course.
