Modified Mustangs Mag and Mustangs and Fords Merger!
Based on my fling through the posts on the magazine forums, I think I am the only one out there
who is pleased and excited about the merger. I had been a subscriber since I was in 2nd or 3rd grade in 1992 or so to Mustang and Fords and lost interest in bout 1997 due to the more technical nature of the articles and being so young without a car.
Now years later, with a Mustang of my very own, I subscribed to Modified Mustangs since its conception in 2005 (I think). I have been pleased with it the whole way! I do love the modern cars since thats what I have, but I did miss the classics. And, now I have both in one magazine. The layout is very much the Modified Mustangs format but the articles and pics were great to start with. Mustangs and Fords lost me lately because the magazine got so thin and it felt like a how to guide brochure instead of a magazine (not like they were 15 years ago). I am hoping the magazine lasts, but after reading the comments bout the merger, there are a lot of unhappy customers out there.

A lot of magazines are merging these days. Many are even going all digital or just ceasing publication all together. I have a website which sells magazine subscriptions so i'm always removing something and sometimes I hear about it before many subscribers do. There are die hard subscribers to magazines out there, and when one merges or ceases, people do get upset. But if readership is low, advertising rates go down which means less income, and the magazine has no choice to merge or die. Hopefully these two Mustang mags will be better together. We will just have to give it a chance and see!
