It makes me cry...
It makes me cry...
Few weeks ago my folks decided it was time to have another family vacation, and this year it was gonna be a cruise to the Caribbean. Sounded good, and would be nice to get some time with the Mum, Father, and my other sibling.
Our cruise left out of Puerto Rico, so we decided we'd spend a few days there, first, before the cruise ship arrived. Did a lot of stuff, jungle hikes, diving, snorkeling, etc.
Since I do have a particular interest in astronomy (I do have a useless degree in astronomy along with my other useless degrees) I decided that this was my chance to go to the Arecibo Radio Observatory. If you're an astronomy nut, you know I was in a little piece of Earthly heaven. If not, then you may recognize that this enormous jungle-embedded radio dish (over 300meters wide) is the same dish pictured in the climax of James Bond: Golden Eye.
Anywho, that's not why I'm boring you all with this.
On the way back down the "mountain" through the winding one-lane back roads that lead through pretty much nowhere, we're cruising by this large fenced-in yard and I yell out "STOP!!!" and promptly get out.
Fortunately, there's no traffic to speak of out here.
Camera in hand, I stood, admiring....and also heartbroken.
You may not want to look....but I thought I should share these pics. See what you can identify, there's quite a selection:

This was all I had time to take pictures of. It's only about a 3rd a slice of the pie here. There were maybe at least 30 full chassis sitting around, and who knows how many parts and engines and etc.
Enjoyed...?

So sad.
Whoever the junker is, he's got a sweet collection there. I'm ashamed to say it, but my Mustang identification is still pretty weak, so anyone feel free to sort it out.
I see a couple Mach1s, looks like 2 Boss's next to that white one which I think is a Shelby, and...is that blue one a KR? Sure looks like one to me...but I can't believe that someone would let a KR go to rust like that.
If I ever get back out there, I'm definitely bringing a bag for goodies. :P

I recognized these cars....they were all listed as a lot on Ebay a few months back.....they wanted an extreme amount of money for the whole collection which also included parts....that garage is full of Mustangs as well. They did not want to seperate and only wanted to sell the entire lot....it was over or close to 1 Million they wanted for everything if memory serves me....
he could make alot more money selling the cars individually.
And by alot more, I mean more than the ZERO DOLLARS he's making right now AND people would be able to save those cars

I'll gladly buy one or two to make a worthy street machine. Also my buddies would like to help, but not the entire lot, for God's sake! TELL ME WHERE IN ARECIBO ARE THEY PLEEEEASE!!!!!!!!!
Wish I knew.
If I was there, driving, I could probably find it again. I know it's on the winding road up to the Arecibo Radio Observatory. Didn't have a great map or a GPS. I just knew the general direction of the observatory and kept driving till I hit the front gates (figuratively speaking, of course).
