Smile Major Mustang Body Changes

I am doing a report for school on my chosen topic of the history of ford mustangs
If any of you know of the years that ford made major body changes to the mustang it would be appreciated
I would also like to know how many overall models ford has made of the mustang
and what makes a mustang superior to other cars in your opinion
also any other interesting facts you may know about the mustang
thank you for your time

Well Leah, you have certainly picked an interesting topic, and I wish you well in your execution of the project. (Get an A!) However, the most pertinent observation I can make to you-- and at the risk of sounding like a smart a$$-- is that for those who understand the Mustang experience, no explanation is necessary. For those who cannot grasp the allure of the legendary pony car, no explanation is possible. I got my first one in 1969: a two year old coupe. The feel, the enjoyment of that car has stayed with me ever since. My best advice to you, if you haven't already done so, is to get your hands on one... even if only for an hour. Take it out and drive it; drive the H**L out of it! Old one, new one, V6 or V8, it doesn't matter. Become a part of it even just briefly, and it will become a part of you.

Hi Leah

Good luck with the project. The link below will take you to TMS's timeline and that gives you a great breakdown of all the significant Mustangs

Leah, you could really do a bang up job on this by showing changes in society by the different models
65-66 First Gen -rise of the Baby Boomers
67-73 Longer/lower/wider as prosperity increases
74-78 gas crisis
etc, etc
Throw in decrease in emissions/increase in gas mileage to appease any fern feeling/bunny hugging instructors
