looking at wheels again - your opinions appreciated

right now i've got Black FR500's (17x9, 17x10.5) on the Bullitt. looking to stick with the FR's, but going up to an 18". that much is for sure at this point. I think it'll help fill the wheel well a little better and it'll look pretty good when it's finally lowered.

what i need some input on is an idea i've been running through my head for the past several days.

I'm thinking I want to have the wheels painted a satin black. if i did this, i'm pretty sure I would paint the lips of the wheels too. some will say it's too much black, but i am really diggin on the look!

here's an example shot with some Bullitts i pulled from SVTP...

and here's some quick chops i did of the Bullitt with both these satin black Bullitts, and my own FR's given the satin treatment.

what do you guys think? if i do the satin finish, do you think it's a good idea to go ahead and do the lip, too, or should i leave the lip polished?

+1 The polished lip looks so much classier.

I like them both. I'm a sucker for black rims! Either way will look great in my opinion. I think I would powder coat the wheels instead of painting satin black.

they will most likely be powdercoated, i have a friend in Dallas that can hook me up with that part, lol

so you guys are all pretty much in favor of keeping the lip, huh? hmmm... not sure i prefer the lips, but that's why i'm taking my time in making the decision and asking opinions first...

thanks for your responses guys!

I say go for the all black. Both look good no doubt, but I think the all black gives it a cool 'stealth' look! Besides, it's your car do what YOU want dude.

I just got a set of black-chrome bullitts for mine, the lips and all are black-chromed (or whatever they do lol), I didn't want the polished or chrome lip. They are amazing I love 'em!
