Lesson learned

Tried taking her out in the snow (not even a half inch by that time) last night and got stuck several times not even a mile out. I know that rear wheel drive is not ideal for snow but this really surprised me lol i could have added weight in the trunk but didn't think it was necessary since it had just started snowing.
PS- first RWD car i drive in the snow- much different than FWD lol

Yes, RWD sucks in snow. Ive driven mine only twice and that was by necessity. Not fun experiences.

Blizzaks or any other qaulity winter tire + some weight = much better and safer. I have a 4X4 and run HanKook i pikes on winter wheels, nothing beats the added traction and they stop much better. The tread stays nice and grippy in the cold stuff and they really arent that mushy just remember they are winter tires.

I also have the Continental extreme DWS on the Lincoln, decent trade off for all season. I like them in snow that isn't deep with the awd but when it gets really ugly or a big storm is coming we use the truck. The conti is great in the dry/wet also.

I have the stock tires that come on the 12's (summer tires- doesn't help at all). I did hear about the blizzaks. Might need to invest in a set of winter tires

I took my girls GT out instead of my truck to run down the street to rite aid. i was going to show her how to drive in the snow. that fricken thing wouldnt even go lol i turned traction control off (i hate trac controls, i think they do more harm than good) pulled out the drive nice and slow and the **** thing fish tailed like nuts. took a while for the wheels to gain traction again. she was busting a nut in the passenger seat lol

Yeah that's basically what happened to me, not even a mile out and it starting tailing out. Turning off trac control helped me get some speed for the uphills but still got stuck lol

I have the stock A/S that come on the v6 and I have no issue in the snow. Leave TCS on, it does its job.

Summer tires in snow are a bad idea. If you intend on driving in the snow it's worth it to invest in a proper setup.

Yeah, nothing about a summer tire is designed to work in snow at all. Good news is thanks to the American Muscle knockoff wheels winter setups are extremely cheap.
