That is quite a deal if you can stay away from the 'add-ons'. Apparently, from what the article states, these cars run right up to $60k in some cases because new owners want extras.

I wonder how long they will be doing this, I would totally consider getting a supercharged base model, maybe with just the performance package. Leather seats are nice, but I never really care about options for a car, as long as it has three pedals, AC and heat, and maybe a radio. Never had, and have no need for heated seats, GPS or navigation, or other high tech "comfort" options, I see them as just more $$ wasted when they break.
