My wife wants a purple Mustang. It has to be one that came from the factory that color. Was 1997 the last year? Are there some good clean examples around? Did they make a GT in convertible?

 

Good luck brother, they were rare animals in my area. I think you correct on the date, pretty sure it was before the generation change in the 90's. Mama may just have to settle for one you can paint purple. I hope you can find one though.

 

Lol ummm check the For Sale section! There's a member on here selling his 97 GT Coupe and it's in pretty good condition. I told him someone would be looking for this car!

There is one that I see often in and around Lexington, I'ld say mid '90s .... V6 car, has white "Mustang" rocker stripes.

It's usually kept pretty clean. Other than that one, there's none. It's like it's dang near as rare as my '92 Thunderbird Sport that is also "Deep Plum Metalic" which is the purple and was offered on the T-bird only in 1992. Never see any others on the road.

 

Did the Mystic Chrome SVT only come in stick?

 

Cobras have always only come in manual, the SVT ones at least.

I am still looking for any year (should be late 90's) Mustang for my wife that came in purple from the factory. I has to be a GT, auto, and a convertiable.
