Knight Rider Cancelled

There are only nine episodes of Knight Rider remaining.

After a lack-luster movie pilot and a shaky series start, many of us were surprised that NBC ordered a full season of Knight Rider. Then they canned three main actors and announced a series "reboot".

Word comes today that the 22-episode full season has been cut to 17. Filming of episode 17 wraps next Friday. Season 2 will depend on ratings of the yet-to-be-aired shows, which means we probably won't be seeing a 2010 KITT.

Hey, at least it outlasted Camaro's "My Own Worst Enemy".

I've been DVRing the episodes, but haven't watched them yet. Have they gotten to the 24-styled episodes yet?

This blows!!! I did not take the show seriously at all, took it for what it was and was entertained. I guess I'll watch all the other shows that feature Mustangs and chicks...oh wait.

This is too bad. They could have done so much better with this show. It was just too cheesed out. I still managed to enjoy it, but the general public was probably not so engaged. I mean, submarine mode??? Seriously?? Morphing into a huge truck? Come on!

And that attack mode KITT was way over the top. RICE comes to mind.

On the other hand, it has sexy women and a hot Mustang - the only things that keep me watching. Oh, and the way they rocked out the intro theme song was pretty cool.

I actually have the original Knight Rider theme song as my ring tone! He he. Yep, I'm a child of the 80s.

Thumbs down Good Riddance

To say that show totally sucked would be being kind. Any show that can make the A-team look good is really bad. I pity the Fools.

It needed to die. Horribly wrong and executed like a bad Sci-Fi channel c-grade movie. But hey commercials are never meant to last long right ? This one got lucky it was on the air as long as it was.

Top Gear USA has a tough hill to climb, but if they can pull it off no one will remember this sloppy Knight Rider attempt.

Unless NBC decides to bring back My Mother The Car featuring the Challenger (before Chrysler goes down for the count)

I say keep the show but turn it into an American version of the NOPI show on Speed. Leave the muscle cars, the girls and add some car guy antics in there along with stuff like visits to Shelbys place or Saleens and I'd watch it.

The rediculous story lines and sub-standard acting etc make this thing a POS. It deserves to die.

I've only seen the pilot movie and was ho,hum, but with the changes they made to the attack mode and the terrible critics it got, it's surprising it lasted this long. Too bad they let ricers design the attack mode of KITT. And morphing into a truck!! Oh, please

That's why I liked it. If people wanted hard core drama/action shows there is a ton of those. This show wasn't trying to be that.

NBC is in disarray right now. **** near all their shows are tanking, budgets for ALL series have been cut by 10%, and their lineup is a horror show. Even Heroes - the only half-way decent show left - never recovered from its sophomore slump, though hopefully Bryan Fuller's return to the show will help get it back on track...if it isn't too late already.

I really like the show too. Is it artsy or complicated? No. It's just feelgood, fun entertainment...and sometimes, that's just what the doctor ordered! Let's face it, the show is at least as realistic as Survivor or (insert redundant copycat "reality" TV show here) or 24 or Heroes or Beverly Hills (insert redundant copycat rich teenage/adult drama here.)

I offer a music analogy: my favorite band is Tool...their music is very complex, intense, thought provoking, and dark. Truly amazing. Yet, there are days where I just want to crank up some Motley Crue...there's something to be said for sleazy, fun loving, sex dripping rock n' roll!

Y'all have got tobe kidding, does it not surprise you that its been cancelled?

The original show with the TransAm was bad enough, not to mention the Riced Out attack mode Kitt this season.

Good Bye Kitt, may God forgive the producers.
