Yeah, beautiful car and beautiful color. Although I hate pure white cars (refrigerators) I think this baby would look great in white with blue stripes.
Arin, I'm amazed you reached more than the two of you who are II fans.
Sorry. I just couldn't resist and I know you have thick skin! It's all in fun.
Totally off topic, but when I was 19 in lived in SF and was one of the 7 members (if there were that many!) of the John Brodie fan club. I also got a Christmas card from Hugh McElhenny when I worked for his company driving a truck after school at SFO when I was in college. You probably don't even know who they were.

sit own, time to do some learnin'the MII was the redesign of the 'stang ofter 1973. by that time, the gas crisis was killing just about every big motored musclecar around. Ford thought the Mustang had exploded in proportions anyway so along came the small and timid Mustang II. 1974 was the only year with no available V8 (a 2.3L 4 and a 2.8L 6 were all you got) but it also won Car of the Year for being the right car at the right time. 5.0 came back in'75 but was grossly underpowered. i blame smog equip, recycler valves and such. but ppl dont realize that its just as easy to make a beast out of a 5.0 II as it is from an early fox (who didnt have much more hp anyways). the II has bee the red-faired stp kid of the mustang family for a while, but despite that there is a loyal following, if you lolok hard enough
IIs are ideal due to their small size and low weight. no matter what kind of racing you're doing, weight = bad. and the MII is darn sexy to boot.the body lines are exquisite, capturing just enough classic look with some newer design cues. also, it was the first stang with rack and pnion steering. many a II has been hacked for their front suspension to be put into street rods
people these days dont give enough respect for the II, but that is changing. there are a good deal of II fans here and on other sites. i've had people call my II "a POS poser mustang that deserves to be scrapped. its a disgrace to the mustang name" (all thbis coming from kid who doesnt pay for his own cars or insurance, has wrecked two sdtangs himself, and has had his license suspended for streetracing and crashing into a deli during the school's lucnh break. so its safe to say, he's not exactly knowledgable.
hope my brief explanation ansewred your Q
check the timeling for 1974-78 mustangs to get some pics and learn s'more

i really appreciate it. BTW how far is grass valley from the bay? maybe when the II is done we could find a track and race a bit

Arin, thanks for the write-up! I was really just being facetious, being old enough to actually remember that day in late 1973 when Ford unveiled the Mustang II and we all looked at it and collectively said, "Say what?" "THAT'S a Mustang?"The V8 models were pretty quick, as I recall, and Farrah Fawcett drove one on 'Charlie's Angels,' (
to a 14-year-old) but after growing up with the likes of the Shelby GT-350 and 500, the GT390 fastback and the original Mach 1, the MII was a crushing disappointment.Even the poster that Kevin sent with my wheel locks has the evolution of Mustang at the bottom. It skips the MII entirely.............
