I thinking of trading in my Ecoboost

I traded my 2010 GT Convertible in on a 2015 Ecoboost premium with the PP over 6 months ago. I am really missing my GT Vert. I can not afford a new GT convertible and would like to keep the payment close to the same. I am looking hard at a 2013-2014 GT Convertible Premium right now. The price range is around $25k range.

I really like the 2015 styling and it is a great car but I think the 2013-2014 was the nicest looking body style since the 60's early 70's. Since it is winter I am hoping to find a clean, low millage, example around where I live.

The '13-14 GT will be a lot faster in a straight line, but your Ecoboost will handle and ride better.

I agree and I am not saying the Ecoboost is a bad car. I just miss the sound of my V8 more than I thought. I also miss dropping the top and making a day of it with a cruise. The 2015 is a really cool looking car but I am missing the look of the S197. It feels more like the older muscle cars to me.

Also I wish I had not gotten the PP on my 2015. It has a real harsh ride on the freeway. My 2010 was not as jarring when going over expansion joints on the bridges down here. I feel every bump in my Ecoboost.

If you really like the s-197 better then I am sure there are a lot 13-14 vert GTs out there but if its just the V8 you miss could you wait a year or so and get a used 15-16 GT vert?

It is a combination of the things I want in a Mustang. Like I said above I prefer the look of the S-197, especially the '13-14 taillights and the Shelby front end. Only thing I really do like better in the 2015 model is the interior. It is just better quality hands down. However, I do not remember hating the S-197's interior. It worked fine for me when I had my 2010.

I love many aspects of the Ecoboost but in the end I am day dreaming about the S-197 and really miss it. If I do get one I will make sure to get the Coyote 5.0 this time around.

I understand how you feel, I hope they work with you on the trade. You lose a good chunk of money when you drive it off the lot.

I put a huge down payment down when I bought it so I am no where near being upside down. I am going to take my time to find a low miles car in the color combo I want.

Have you seen the GT premium interiors? Those are actually really nice on the S-197s. I love mine.

Yes my 2010 was a GT premium Convertible. It was black on black leather. I want to get the saddle or red this time time around.

I can see you missing the 'vert when you live in such a great climate by the ocean. We can't imagine not cruising 'topless' here in the summer or on vacations. I think your timing is excellent to be looking for a convertible. Sales are slow as molasses in the winter. The further north you go the better the deal. It's worth the drive. Good luck with the search.

I cant blame you, the best thing is starting up your v8 in the morning and hearing her roar! Were you trading it in or going to sell your current car privately?

I might try to sell it first since I am not in a rush.
