On some videos I've read this is nothing to worry about and on others people say they've had to do short block replacements and such. Any body here driving around with this so called coyote tick? If so, how long have you've been with it no issues?
this is just such a weird topic to me because NoBOdY seem to have a definite answer.

Geez, just about every engine has the 'tick'. The Hemi 'tick' is talked about constantly and the old LS1 'tick or 'ticking' is commonplace. Apparently it's just the nature of the V8 beast now. You will always get different answers for your concern because so many owners experience different things. Some engines fail (very few overall considering the numbers of cars sold) and others go on for 100,000+ miles. My personal opinion, which is worth nothing to anyone else, is that you should NOT worry unless it's a 'tick' that has arisen from nowhere all of a sudden and is on the loud side as well. That would worry me. I can't relate any experience on the Ford front but my LS1 'ticking' has been present since day 1 on my Trans Am and the car runs fine 20 years later. The dreaded Hemi 'tick' is of no concern to me either as many owners have already driven over 100k miles with the 'tick' and no engine problems.
Take the above for what it's worth but only you can decide if you can live with it or otherwise take it to several mechanics for several opinions.
