I know I would miss the mystic, but we really need a family car at the moment and Anj and I both want something newer in the near future. (I.e 05 GT or 03/04 Snake :P)

How about keeping the Mystic and dropping in an 03/04 Cobra crate motor and some other mods slowly. Make it a sort of late model restomod.

In the mean time you guys could pick up a used vehicle that is more economical for you guys.

 

I went through the same thing in 98 or so with an Autumn Orange Mustang GT. Our oldest was getting bigger, our 2nd was about to be born. (We also had one car at the time, I should mention) .. We traded for a 4Runner, which eventually my wife hated. A year later I bought myself a new Mustang and she traded the 4Runner for an Explorer.

So, I guess the whole point being, it'll have a way of working out.
