Very / 66 Mustang FB / 15 yrs old

:edit: sad ending for it. When I purchased my next Mustang (89) LX 302, my brother was without a car, so I loaned it to him. He proceeded to get ticket after ticket until is was impounded and auctioned off to pay the tickets.

1968 coupe, 16 years old, still own it. It was an inline 6 car when I bought it, and now it has a 351 that will be getting a blower strapped to it in about a month.

it was 2004, I was 16 and mom bought me my 1992 5.0 GT Black Ext Black Int, all stock for 3,500 with only 90,000 original miles from the original owner

I was... to say the least... so excited I didn't sleep for 48 hours, I drove it the entire weekend... raced like 7 or 8 of my buddies and then soon began the mods

In 1997 when I was 16, had an 86 LX carburated 5.0 silver w/t-tops automatic. Bought it for $1,800.....lasted 3 months before the trans went. Ended up trading it to a guy for an 82 full size Bronco w/351 for the winter.

I was 19 in 2009 when I picked up my '06 GT. I went from regular guy in my '97 Altima to certified B.A. Modded it a lil bit and made it my own, and have no regrets.

I was 19 when we got the 69 fastback... still love that car, although its sat in pieces 27 of the 29 years ive owned it...life happens sometimes, priorities change. one of the neatest memories i have of the 69 was waiting outside a restaurant, some little girl probably 5 years old ran up to the passenger window and said 'gee mister neat car!'...at 19 i wasnt a 'mister' in my mind, but the neat car comments never ended- even die hard chevy guys were like- thats one of the coolest looking cars ever made...acapulco blue, slats/wing/mach1 redstripe black interior, mags/big tires...only negative comment i ever heard was from a guy with a acapulco blue 69 notch- said he 'never liked those fastbacks' to each his own
my second favorite was the 2005 body... 3 kids at the time, 4 seats meant a battle with the wife for a year, but finally got one, in vista blue, stick shift gt...then 4th kid, not enough seats again- so she got one too, a 07 vista pony v6 auto. saw the speed channel reveal of the 2010 and hated the rear so bad ordered a backup identical to my 06- was the last of the pretty ones(to my eyes- hey a lot of folks love the 10, and i'm glad, but like i said, everyone has their favorites). always swore if i could go back in time, id stash away a new 69- well that aint gonna happen, but i saw that possibility with the 09...so there its set for a couple years now with 4 miles on its still undriven odometer... if the 06 outlasts me, the kids/wife can auction it off, if something happens to the 06, theres a rewind button sitting there in the garage for certainly less money than a new v8 mustang will cost now or in the future. if i wasnt car poor already, id love to have a 08 vista just to have one from each year the color was offerred...but too broke to pay attention right now, so... but really love these cars

I was 19 when i bought my first Mustang in 1973, a 1966 convertible, 289,pony interior, power top too. $150.00, bad engine. I bought a 1964 1/2 coupe with a totally trashed body for $75.00 and swapped the 260 into the '66. I sold it 6 months later for $1,200.00 and thought I'd made huge $$$. Those were the days (.sigh)

I was 25 when I bought this 1979 Indy Pace Car. Had a turbo-charged 4 banger. Wish I still had it.

Talking

Well, I'm 47 and just bought my first Mustang last December...

Just over 3,000 miles on it and still loving it! I even took it up to a track day at Mid Ohio!

I guess I'm still IN my "good old days".

16 yrs young
1968 Coupe, 289 2bbl with a 3 speed auto on the floor
Bought it for $2500
As an early graduation gift my dad had the motor balanced and blue printed
When I turned 20 I sold it to a gentleman that gave it to his son for his birthday. He proceeded to get many tickets with it then all of a sudden the car disappeared. 10 years later I saw it sitting at a closed dealership. Offered the guy $1k for it and he said its not for sale. It now sits in a field behind the dealership rotting away
