Flowmaster

I have put flowmasters on the last 4 cars I owned, The 3 chambers give that rumble your looking for, The two chambers had a spot where the noise level was just to much, I put two chambers on one car and drove it around the block and went back to the muffeler shop and put on three chambers. The series (length) I don't think matters but the chambers do. One thing I have noticed is that the three chambers take a couple weeks to sound right, They start out a little soft and in a couple weeks you just notice one day while walking around the back of the car that they sound better.

I may go for Series 40, someone mentioned though on another forum that be careful when installing new exhausts replacing the factory ones as it may mess up the computers on the car, although he may be referring to the 2005 model, mine is a 1994 so would this be alright?

I had Flowmasters on a '02 GT and it sounded like a truck. By contrast, I have them on my '06 GT and could not be happier. IMO, the car's original tune and the intake manifold have a lot to do with the sound.

The Series is the length, I have 3 chambered on my 06, sound good works fine.
I don't know why Flowmaster doesn't spell this out on its sight, it would sure make life easier. The number of chambers makes the difference in how loud it is.
