Question First post and some questions

Hello,
I used to own a 1966 Mustang GT and sold it when I got married, then later got a 2005 V6 when they first came out.

To make a long story short Ford bought it back due to the lemon law. That left a bad taste in my mouth for a long time. I have a RX-8 now and love it. However, it is getting pretty old and I’m due to trade up here in the next year or so.

I have noticed the new Mustangs on the road and think they look great. My question is has the quality gone up on the younger models? The problems I had with my 2005 V6 had been a litany of issues. Some of my major problems was how I was treated at the dealership. The mechanical issues were the rear end of the Mustang and the transmission (5-speed).

Have these components been redesigned? I love the sound of a V8 and I am not digging the new Camaro. I would like to be a Ford man again if they can do me right. If not I might get another RX-8, maybe a newer one.

Welcome, you should just go with a new RX-8, why fix it if it ain't broken?

We've owned 3 S197's so far (my 09 GT, a 10 GT, & the wife's 12 GT/CS) & haven't had any problems to date. We're totally happy with them.

I've had an '05 GT, '08 GT, and now the '12 Boss, no issues with any of them. :knockonwood:
