Lot of great ones not on the list... "Vanishing Point"..."Dirty Mary and Crazy Larry"..."The Transporter"..."Junkman"

But... I voted for the original Gone In 60, I mean come on, the chase is something like 40 minutes long!

Hi,

found "Cleopatra Jones" on DVD the other day - it has a good car chase in it (the Mustang being the car of the bad guys though). Cleopatra drives a modified Vette and there are a couple of scenes where you see how she shifts rather expertly...

I went with "The Bourne Supremacy." I agree with Brad... It felt so real, and it really got me into the scene itself. I love it when movies give me tunnel vision and then I have to snap myself out of it to realize it's not real.

It's also nice to see a chase scene that means something to the plot, and is not just "there" to fill space.

Goldeneye had a really cool chase scene, but it involved a tank.

I like the chase scene in 'To Live and Die in LA'

(Wasn't that movie also made by the same guy as 'French Connection?')

Matrix 2 would have to be considered as well, though mention of To Live and Die in LA reminds me how much Matrix owes that film.

I still say the best of all is Blues Brothers.

Yeah Matrix was aweome, but that wasnt only cars, its kinda leaning more twards sci-fi, I would have to swing with the new gone in 60 seconds.

I just couldnt get into the minis in the Italian Job, and I have watched it several times.

Absolutely - William Friedkin did both.

Yeah - Live & Die in LA is up there for me.
Ronin definitely.

I also have to throw in the 'riverbed' scene in GUMBALL RALLY near the end where the COBRA and the Ferrari duke it out.

The comic chase scene in the movie "What's Up Doc?" with Ryan O'Neal and Barbra Streisand (YUCK!) is hysterical! Also, there's a pretty good chase scene in the W. C. Fields classic, "The Bank weiner."

Blues Brothers beats them all by a long shot. Best chase scene ever.
