Favorite driving music in your Mustang?
So other than listening to the rumbling V8's we have in our cars, I was just curious what kind of music you guys like to listen to in your Mustangs? I really love drum and bass music like Netsky or electronic stuff like Tiesto. Not really music you'd associate with an American car, but I've always thought this type of music was perfect for driving. You can just get into a groove with the music while you're blasting through a twisty canyon road. Great stuff.
I have about 500 songs on my iPod Nano that will play radomly. But included in that are many, many short 20-30 minute mixes that show as one file that were mixed and edited with a Sony Sound Forge program so that songs are cohesive and blend seamlessly into each other. I guess that's the old live DJ coming out in me.
My tastes have become pretty varied and eclectic at my ripe old age of 62.
Rock and Roll mainly, but add to that blues, Zydeco, Tex-Mex, Americana, folk, Salsa, Carribean, lotsa Elvis, 50's/60's, punk, British Invasion, soul and R&B, Outlaw Country, Country blues, classical including Wagner, Beethoven, and singers such as Andrea Bocelli and Pavarotti.
I love obscure 60's stuff and B-sides of 45's. Of course, Abbey Road in it's entirety gets played regularly. I even have just one, solitary rap song: Gangsters Paradise by Coolio.
I guess I have a bit of just about everything. Except Barry Manilow. No way, no how. Ain't never gonna happen. Kill me first.

Tom Petty's live anthology. The best live collection ever.
The black crowes southern harmony and musical companion.
The sword, warp riders.
Floyd, either wish or dark side, either one both are classics.
Tool, undertow.
That's my top five for road trips.

PF is amazing under any circumstances...driving, home alone, headphones, anytime, anywhere.
I'm curious about the new album. It's supposed to be released this month, correct? I have reservations since Roger Waters isn't involved. We'll see.
Anyway, search it out. Morrison is amazing.
I have a live version of Comfortably Numb downloaded on my Nano....it features Van Morrison and his vocal performance is killer. I never saw that coming. Not sure what/when the show was. My gut tells me it was a live performance of The Wall and may have also featured Waters. Anyway, search it out. Morrison is amazing.
And my picks would be:
Pink Floyd - darkside mandatory!
The delicate sound of thunder (Floyd live)
U2-Joshua tree, achtung baby, songs of innocence
The Killers- battle born

Momentary lapse of reason, division bell, pulse, and endless River are all Gilmour.
I have the tech package and i love it! I can play Pandora through Bluetooth and control Pandora on my iphone through the steering wheel controls. Very cool and i love it, i usually listen to alternative or classic rock! Most of the time though my favorite music is just rolling down the windows and listening to those GT500's roar baby yeh!!
I guess I'll be the only one here...
Florida Georgia Line, Eric Church, Dierks Bentley...
I mean c'mon guys, It's an American Mustang. Windows down, Country blaring, Southern girl with tan legs ridin' next to you? You can't ask for anything better than that!
