What do you think of the wheel choices for '05?

Nothing really "wows" me like the '01 Bullitt wheels did. When I finally decide to trade my '01 in, I'll probably have the dealer install some aftermarket 18s and just add them to the price of the car so I can finance them with the rest of the loan.

The machined V6 wheels are IMO, the best looking wheels offered on the 2005.

I really wish they were the optional 17" or 18" wheel on the GT.

Everybody talks about the big improvement in the GT from 2004, look at all the character the V6 gets as well

I love the 16" machined with spinners. I just wish they came with a deeper dish and in 18" or atleast a 17" I would have bought then in a second, but since they are not available I went with the bullitts.

i agree, if they were bigger and deeper, they would be a lot more appealing

I've seen the bright machined in person and they look really good.

However, I'm not thrilled with any of the rims on the GT (you guys are right, the spinners are cool....good for the V6 guys) so I chose aftermarket/ '06 18".

I agree with Dan. Going to wait for the optional 18's in 06. I think their awsome looking. Dan, would you classify these as aftermarket, or just an optional production rim coming out a year later?

I picked the 17" Bullitts. Although, I have to aggree that the wheels offered on the V6 are better looking... just not big enough, nor offered on the GT

Well, they are obviously optional rims in the 06MY. It probably should have been added as another option on this poll.

I voted for aftermarket (which I consider aftermarket/18s etc.)

I'll either wait or go aftermarket. Depends what I see out there for this car come late winter/spring.

I agree, the 16" spinners should be in a bigger size. They look good.

if i have to choose from what ford's laying out, i go with the 17" bright machined 'cause i like how they match the steering wheel. otherwise aftermarkets, rims and tires.

We really wanted the 18" wheel and tire on display at the January NAIAS. Therefore will just go with the painted bullitt and see what is available aftermarket. The bright Machined wheel just does not say Mustang at this time fir us and we want 18" or larger. Plus the GT is for the Wife to do as she pleases. The new Cobra will be mine to play with.

I'll triple, quaddruple, whatever, the motion that the GT's 18" 's are the best looking wheels, at least from the photos. But the 17" optional GT wheels didn't look so bad in person. If anyone out there finds an aftermarket equivalent to the 18"'s - share the details!
