Is this the end of the Mustang site?

This is all so sad to me . No new threads and very few responses. I doubt it was the political section as many avoid that entirely. What happened??. Hundreds of thousands of Mustang owners are out there and where do they like to talk about their cars? I don't belong to any social media sites so I guess I am missing out.
I've also found the LS1 site for my F-body really lacking too. It's just 'builds' there and I have very little in common with anyone. The only site alive and well is the Challenger site where it is dominated by mostly old folks like me.

I hope it is not. I have more years than you, but I visit the site daily, sometimes several times.

I Have Done All I Can As Far as Trying To Make The Site Inviting & Don't Know What Else To Do. I Have Been Doing CPR Posts For Quite awhile To At Least Acknowledge Somebody When Posting a Question But Have Recently Paused That to See What Would Happen. Seems it Did Help a Bit. I was Hoping I Did not Need To Be The Guy Many Times With The First Reply. Oh Well, It Has Become Tiresome Pulling Up Links & FORD Pdf's For Somebody That Can't Even Give a Like or a Thank You For The Help. A Few Do But Most Act Like They Are Owed Instant Answers For Their Issues.

You Know Most of The Time We are a Last Resort and They Post One Paragraph and We Are Dumb Cause We Can't Figure Out What Their Local Shops With the Car in Front of Them Can't Fix! Just Gets Old! I Absolutely Love Helping Those Who Show Some Gratitude For The Help But They Are Becoming Fewer and Fewer!

Frustrated, You Bet I Am.

Thank You Tukatz!

On a Brighter Note After Months of Spam Members Joining They are Currently Inactive. I Caught Most Within Hours if Not Minutes After Joining! Guess They Got The Message!

When I saw your earlier message I was reminded of how things were in WA state. If you held a door open for someone they got that disgusted look on their face that said I could have done that myself. Not everyone, but far too many. You sure did not hold your breath waiting for them to say thank you.
Here in TX MOST smile and say thank you, and some also say God bless you. The weather may be dreadful, but most of the people are wonderful.

Well These Days Many Folks Seem To Require Drama & Conflict. No Thanks! If We Had a Site Full of Those I Would Call it Quits!

Things change.

With a pedigree six-plus decades long, the websites that support the entire history of the Mustang seem to begin struggling a bit. I also frequent the Mustang 6G site, which is just 2015-2023. It's much more active, and I think in part the reason for that is its focus.

This site began as Brad Barnett's baby. It had a personal and unique character. It still does. It's still a great depository of information about all generations of the original pony car.

The newcomers from younger generations have grown into adulthood learning communication with their thumbs. That isn't a criticism, simply an observation. JMHO, it has left them without the full skillset of interaction.

I have now officially made an "old fart" post. But we'll need to meet them where they are at, not where we'd like them to be or think they should be. It is an opportunity if we choose to approach it that way.

JMHO.

I am on daily, usually don't make many comments unless I have something of value to add. Like reading other's comments tho. Been on here for 11 years now and do enjoy it. Hope the site sticks around for a while longer.

I certainly hope not! I am not on daily, but I do drop in when I can. This is my main site. No Facebook or other Social media for me either. I guess I do have an account still open on X, but rarely tweet (do they still call it that?) I do occasionally visit a few other Mustang sites, but always stop by here first. I hope this site is able to survive. It is my favorite, and my favorite members are here too.

I decided months ago to step back from posting and concentrate more on being in the background... If I'm needed to help out with specific tasks, then Kevin can always reach out and let me know...
