I’m looking to buy a mustang from the auctions but the thing is that you can’t really seem to tell if they have the active valves, I want to add the corsa xtreme cat backs but I also want to be able to control how loud it is.

The active valves are an optional $895.00 in addition to the $2000.00 optional 301A package (dual-zone automatic climate control, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ambient interior lighting, and more)

Best way to tell if it has the "active exhaust" is by looking in the vehicle's onscreen menu. If the vehicle is equipped with the "active exhaust" option? it will be listed in the onscreen menu as "Active Exhaust"

thanks for the reply, noob question but if it didn’t have the active valves would and I add the corsa xtremes will I still be able to control the noise I’d assume the mustangs that don’t come with active valves still have the quiet normal sport and track mode

yeah I'd have the same question because I don't really know how it works . . . if it is a simple exhaust dump upstream of the mufflers, then you can change the mufflers with no issue . . . but if it somehow changes the routing of the exhaust through the mufflers, that means it requires special mufflers with that valving inside, and you can't change the mufflers
