Deysha does it again!
I assume most people are familiar with our friendly ford customer service rep by the name of Deysha on these forums. Heck even first timers have probably come across her name searching for unrelated things.
Anyway I factory ordered a brand new 2012 GT/CS and received it in a timely manner without issue. Except for one thing. I took delivery at night and didnt notice at the time that there was a nasty scratch on the hood of the car. It was raining, dark, and of course I was excited to get the keys. The next day I took it to get professionally detailed and they pointed out the scratch before even touching the car. The said there was probably nothing that could be done other than wet-standing/repainting it.
I asked my dealership to fix it free of charge, being a brand new car and I've only had it for maybe 18 hours, and they refused. In fact they practically laughed and said "you've had the car and are blaming us?!" Uh YEAH because there's no way I put a 6 inch scratch on my car overnight in the garage without touching the hood. It seemed like they were in your typical "we wont do anything that costs us a penny" dealer mode.
I explained the situation to deysha, and the next day I got a call from the VP of my dealership practically begging me to bring it down and get it fixed, for free. I did just that, and they had my car back in perfect looking condition within a matter of hours.
I dont know how you do it deysha, but chalk another one up for helping the little guy. Thanks a lot. I love my car.

That is awesome! Nice to know someone on a corporate level cares enough to do the right thing.
Wish I had known about this when Ford refused to replace the top on my sisters car for what is a well known defect. The vinyl was coming loose from the rear window on a top that hadn't been raised and lowered more than a dozen times.
Great job Deysha!

That is awesome. I have been on many forums in the past and have never seen anything like this with customer service people being on the forum. I love it, think it such a awesome idea, and the support they provide to us through them and Ford is just another reason I will always be a blue oval guy! Good to hear it all worked out for you, now for some pics

Similar situation happened to me years ago when I bought my 2003 F150.
Brought it home, gave it it's first wash the next day, and noticed a huge scratch in the roof, right to the metal, looked like a chain had come loose on either the train or car carrier and had swayed back and forth in the same spot.
But my outcome was different, i brought it back the next day and the dealer agreed to have it fixed asap. Body shop had it for two days - repainted the entire roof. Been fine ever since.
