Plan on flying in to attend the Detroit auto show. What i need to know is, how far is the airport (DTW) from the auto show? I would love to talk to someone who knows the area and the hotels nearby. i'm trying to get a package together.

any tips?...thnx in advance.

The show is at Cobo hall in downtown Detroit.

As for accomodations, I stay on the Canadian side, so I can't really help you in that dept.

 

Airport is pretty far from Cobo Hall in Detroit, about 20-30 mins depending on time of day. Dearborn is about half way. Check if hotel has shuttle to Cobo if you're not staying downtown, there is no mass transit here at all. Hyatt Regency and Ritz Carlaton in Dearborn but not any nightlife in Dearborn. I'm not familiar with downtown info. There are some nice hotels and plenty of dining in suburbs; Livonia / Northville / Novi area, but it will be 35-40 mins away from dowtown.
