"Counting cars"...

When you are on the road, do find yourself counting all the Mustangs you see?

Yes I do. Typically try to count the v6 vs GT+ and then Classic, Middle years, 2005+. Especially when out of town.

I am always surprised how many there are...

The Mustang count for today was 7.. 2 Shelbys (s197), 1 Saleen (SN95), 3 S197 GTs... and on my way to work tonight, I saw a Mustang II that looked like it just came off the assembly line.

I don't count them, but I do look at all the really nice cars.
Some more than others.

Seen some seriously abused ones out there and some projects in progress. Love it when I see older ones that are restored or just plain taken care of. It always amazes me how many are out and about when it snows. Not my choice for a winter storm.

This thread brought back some nice memories.

Back in the 60's my younger brother and I would play a game whenever we went somewhere with our parents. We called it "I see One". Before the trip started we'd each bet a dime or a quarter and agree on a car we'd be on the lookout for...for instance blue '63 impalas, Mustangs, or red '64 GTO's/Lemans/Tempests. Back in those days you could easily distinguish most cars by model year. On really long drives we'd select an oddball car like an early Rambler or maybe an Edsel. We'd keep a running tab and the winner took the pot.

Our parents loved it. It kept us from fidgeting and fighting, Bill and I had fun and won some money, and the folks had a peaceful drive....win/win.

Yep... forgot that one until now. We played with Mustang coupes ('68 and older during the late 60's) being 1 point, convertibles are 2 points and fastbacks are 3. Weren't many fastbacks.

There were just so many here abouts. Durn few now of any year, it's all japanese and pickups. /RZ
