Cherohala Skyway Autumn colors
We did the 'loop' the other day which involves the Tail of the Dragon and the Cherohala Skyway. I posted the TOTD photos here https://themustangsource.com/forums/...ct-5-a-549517/ and here are some of the Cherohala Skyway photos.
OK, OK, rub it in bud. I don't have the time right now to get up that way, but it will be soon I hope. We are blessed to live in the Piedmont area right in the middle of the mountains, and the coast. A 2/3 hour ride going either way. Riding the Blue Ridge, top down with your bestie, is the best blood pressure known to man. Great pictures my friend. Oh, and BTW, will that GTHIG change colors in the fall?

^^^ It almost looks like it when in the direct sun. Amazing 'glitter'. I guess that is part of the tri-coat process. My window sticker says it was an extra $495.

Very awesome scenery photos! Can really see the rows of trees changing leaves all along the landscape through out the skyway very well...You're got to have it green "14" GT vert also blends in very well too... Meanwhile, thanks for sharing and congrats on the photos
Thanks for posting these and the TOTD pictures. Looks like a great road trip for our cars! Love to do this some day, but it is a long ways from home. Great shots, Car looks fantastic. It is hard to get the true look of GHIG in a photo. To get the full affect you really have to see it in person to get an appreciation of how great it looks as it shows of the metallic bits and reflects the sun.

So true! The tri-coat is amazing in person. I understand the added $495 original cost.
By the way, we have tentatively planned a vacation to Montana, Idaho and eastern WA/OR in 3 years (2025) in this GT. 2023 is tracing the Vanishing Point route in our R/T and then 2024 will be Cape Cod (again) and then 2025 to your area. Lord knows if we'll be around then but it's fun to think ahead.
Lots of wide open spaces in this part of the country. Lots of varying landscape and the awesome Rocky Mountains to cross. Hope it materializes for you.

Oh yeah!! The memories are forever in our prior '07 GT/CS. Now it's time for memories in this one.
