Car & Driver mocks the Mustang...again
Car, Driver by a dumb azz editor

Is that the rag sheet that Brock Yates runs? He's one whiny old wind bag - I remember a few years back on some TV show (it was either C/D TV or Motor Trend TV, all the same **** if you ask me) and they were road testing the then-new Mach1. Yates actually had the audacity to whine about the hood scoop being hard to see around
Then one of the other "editors" said, "This car has the engine from the '95 Cobra..." Um...yeah....go back to your pansy *** quaint little cars you love so much

Car and Driver gave a good review of the Bullitt Mustang. I am not sure why everyone hates C&D. I renewed for another 3 years because I enjoy reading it. I like my Mustang but let's face it, it's not going to be in the same playing field as a BMW M3, C63 AMG, IS-F, or a Lotus Elise SC but I enjoy reading about what the foreign automakers are doing.
Find the July 2008 issue where they talk about the Bullitt and actually praise it. I just re-read that article in the first thread and didn't find any bashing. It's all good-humored fun.
The new-generation Mustang II is aimed at economy-minded Mustang intenders, but Ford isn’t stopping its fuel-efficiency train there. Indeed, what better way to save fuel than to use none at all? The Mustang Mustang is the most-fuel-efficient and practical Mustang ever: Instead of a gas-gulping engine, this ride comes with a team of horses to pull it around; all you need is a pile of oats and a few bales of hay, and you’re on your way.
Four horses come standard, and the team can be upgraded to 10—the car gets GT10 badging—with the tick of an option box, but you’ll probably want to consider the cost of care before upgrading. It costs, at minimum, $4 per day to keep an average 1000-pound horse in food and medical care. Opt for the 10-horse team, and you’re facing at least $14,600 annually, or about the same as your fuel costs if you use an M1 Abrams tank for grocery runs.

I get that C&D and R&T are jokes, but didn't anyone else take it as humor ? I thought it was funny. Mainly because Ford, Roush, Saleen...etc is wringing ever last bit they can out of a very successful car with so many different "Special Editions" that at this point it is just stupid....
The first few made sense, Bullitt, GT 500, odd saleen or two and the same for roush, but come on the world DOESN'T NEED another special edition S197. We need not to be so butt hurt over a magazine article.
That being said I don't buy either one because they do indeed suck. Just like the manufacturers blow-jobs that are any tech article in any Mustang mag. The readers rides are cool, the one or two per, but the rest is just advertising and worthless, IMO.
