I don't know what to do! I think I'm going mad! Someone please help me! Where can I get help? Is there a local support group? Must I scream on the net? If you scream on the internet, will you make a sound? Someone put me out of my misery and send me a Mustang GT in vista blue with a ducktail and sequential tail lights!

My name is Keoni. And I am a mustangaholic. It has been 3 days since I heard the words..."clean.......and unscheduled". I just couldnt handle it any more. It was too much pain for me to bear. I sit on these forums and see these pics of peoples new rides rolling in and I cant help but smash my head into my monitor :bang: dreaming that one day...I too will be able to drive the car I have been waiting for 15 years to have. Where is my Tungsten GT Coupe with ICAP? I hate my life. The only thing I have left is trying to convince myself that being clean and unscheduled is a "good" thing because it means I can still change my order. In all reality though....I really hate my life. Clean and Unscheduled support group member #2 checking in.

Oh and by the way, I ordered about the same time as you. Dealer said he expected it in September, maybe October. :angry:

 

I feel your pain. I can't wait to hear something else from the ERL. The Thursday waiting game is killing me. All I can do is wait and...

Try to get the ERL Witch to understand a whole 17 digit VIN number. I can't figure how she can mistake W fo V!!!!!!

 

Group member #4 here. Ordered 6/29. Not sure how many GT's are in front of me at my dealership but the C/U thing is starting to make me go crazy...i feel your pain

 

I am sensing a pattern here...... 3 out of the 4 members are waiting for VB cars......

Hi Everyone. My name is Kristina, and yesterday, I passed my 5 month anniversary of waiting. I'm glad to find a support group for people stuck in the blackhole of clean and unscheduled, just like me.

Unfortunately, I'm not able to hear these words from the ERL (Canada = no ERL) but rather I have to call a live person to tell me this. They keep telling me to call back in 3 to 4 weeks, but I find myself obsessing 3 to 4 HOURs later...it's hard to resist the urge to pick up the phone, but I'm hoping with the help of you guys, I'll make it through these dark times.

 

Well, I have been waiting since the end of January and don't think I will ever see the light at the end of the tunnel. My salesman claims mine will be one of the first three '06s that comes in. Still don't know when I will ever see my car.

Count me in - C/U member #9 (?). Ordered 6/13 and still waiting for the magic words. Keoni - I with you. It's strange how something like this can make your whole life seem miserable, but it does. At first I thought it was spoiler delete that was holding me up. Now it's probably anti-theft. If it isn't one thing one week then next week it's another... :bang:

 

I ordered an 05 Feb 2nd. It never came. Ordered my 06 as soon as the dealer could put in new orders for the 06. I get employee pricing because of a relative but we put the order in as retail so that won't make any difference. Still waiting with NO word on when. Dealer says he has NO pull and cannot do ANYTHING about it. I don't quite understand how Ford can just F people like me and all those other ones waiting. Especially when they didn't build the first car I ordered.

The fact that dealers are getting 06 GTs really pisses me off! I should be the FIRST one in line to get the 06s. Anyone else???

The ONLY good thing about this is I'll love her more when she DOES come!

BUT DAMIT I'M TIRED OF WAITING!!!!!!!!

Hello poor fellows (and gals),

Support groups are about dealing with problems no?

Is there any problem in searching the net, or autotrader-type sites for dealers with new stangs fitting the calibre of car you are looking for? I mean I waited 3 days then pulled the trigger on a super lot model, 0 miles (and 0 kms).

If you happen to be in Ontario I can think of at least one Dealer where they are giving away stangs for under 2005 MSRP. Way under. Kanata Ford (Ottawa) is the # seller in the region and they are hoarding them from other dealers for a "last stand". Still pretty good selection. But don't look at the GT with the "SOLD" sign in the window as I have snagged it. The guy sold for under MSRP ($2000 CDN). I mean tell your dealer you want THAT and you won't buy an '06.

Perhaps look for similar type dealers? I suspect in Ontario there are about 100 GTs out there still. The bad gass prices and poor weather will help us Canadian folk in tracking down a good one. In additon the Family plan draws people away from the stangs on the lot.

In some cases, the car's just not out there. While I was waiting for mine (4months!) I can assure I looked, and looked and looked. I probably checked a couple of hundred dealerships at least once a week and even had others checking for me in their own parts of the country.
If Ford would make a better system for searching, not so many people would have to order and remain C/U. I would have been more than willing to buy a one-way plane ticket to get my car.

 

The closest car I could find configured as I wanted was 2758 miles away. And they wanted $5K over sticker. That's when I broke down and ordered the '06

I looked everywhere. If anyone can find me the car spec'd in my signature, let me know. It doens't exist.

Besides, my dealer has been great and is giving me a heck of a deal...just have to be patient!

Darn it. I guess the US sucks for mustang availability. I think all that warm weather makes people not hesitate for a sec.

I got a pain in my chest thinking about slamming into one of those darn medians in Ottawa in the winter snow. Any of you from the region will know what I mean. You gotta drive 10km outta your way to get around them Snow makes ya think 2x about buying up here.

But seriously, I wanted the spoiler delete too....The I just started realizing it wasn't gonna happen and made compromises. I'm glad i did too cause a 2006 car would have crippled me with a ICAP etc. Just to get the car off the lot is $1000 in Canada (gas tax, fees etc.), plus rust package etc.

As for you Sou' 49ers, short of doing a Dukes of Hazzard jump over the Niagara river, dunno about getting some Canadian stangs. Never hurts to call. I bet excise is pretty steep, $2000.

Not necessarily. I'm from TO and am STILL waiting...it just depends on how set you are for the spec you want. I want what I want and I'm not willing to budge so that's why I'm still carless. Canadian dealers get the total shaft vs. the US - right now, there isn't ONE Canadian '06 order that has gotten pulled yet...and some people in the US already have their 06's!

Anyways, I'm going to call Ford's Customer line tomorrow and see what they say...who knows, myabe I'll get pulled today
