Oh man! The Trans Am circuit was one of my favorite racing series growing up. It always influenced my car buying as I really liked the models used in the races. Over the few years the series existed in the late 60's to early 70's they had Camaros, Firebirds, Mustangs, Challengers, Javelins, even 'Cudas and Cougars.
50 years later it is what I drive today, just the newer more modern examples. If AMC existed today I'd have a new improved Javelin probably too.

:Nice:
Not a bad looking car in your list of classics. I would take any one of those cars in a modern version of their early forms. Javelins (or an AMX version), Cougars, and especially a 'Cuda just kind of stand out for me, probably because you just don't see many around any more. Was at the stoplight behind a '67/'68 Cougar the other day. Hard to believe how small they are compared to our modern versions of the Mustang.

Yes, my car collector neighbor (owns 12 cars) has a rare '67 Couger XR7/GT in his collection along with two old Mustangs, a '68 and '70. Definitely small in comparison compared to today's versions, and so much shorter which I seem to notice the most. Here is a photo from a 2019 show of our two cars together, his '70 Mach 1 and my '07. The camera angle is off but you can still see the height difference.
