I have 87 Street and 93 Race. I forgot what I got for the 3rd one, cuz it doesn't matter. I either want *****-out performance, or the cheapest grandma-driving roadtrip mileage I can get.

 

They can make the car run on basically any octane but 93 is the obvious choice if you are seeking greater performance.

 

I just loaded the race tune. It's dark and wet here so I just went down the road and back. I revved the engine while in Park and the RPMs took longer to drop back down than it used to. Is that Normal?

 

Yea dude I wouldn't sweat it. It's all in how they map it out.

 

I just got to school and the whole way up here my exhaust was a lot quieter than before. I can tell a huge difference at idle. At idle I can barely even hear it from inside the car with the windows down. This is really bothering me.

 

Maybe it's in your head? Have you switched back to stock to confirm?

 

No, I won't be home until around 11 tonight. I may try switching it tomorrow to see. I Googled it and saw people saying the tune can make your exhaust quieter.

 

Hmmm. I installed my tune along with a CAI, but I feel like mine actually got louder...

 

I decided to go home before I went to work and put it back ok stock. I can tell It's a little quieter with the race tune than stock. It's not as noticeable from outside of the car.

 

May have to do with the CAI. I thought my exhaust on my V6 sounded a little better after I put mine on. May just be the placebo effect
