Back in the saddle from 2013 to 2019

howdy amigos, I am back in the saddle of a mustang again after a few short years away. I parted with my 2013 GT back in 2017 but couldn't keep my mind of mustangs. As of Oct 31 I'm going to be bringing home a new 2019 GT premium with performance pkg 1, in Ruby Red. She has the 10spd auto in it which I really loved. It was tough NOT going with a 6 spd manual, but I will be using the car alot and with our traffic, it just made sense to go to the auto.

I still miss my 2013 though, which i had so much fun customizing when the cdn dollar was at par with the usd. Not so anymore. The only things I'll be modding in the near term on the '19 are maybe some stripes and slightly bigger rubber. Longer term, who knows

Anybody remember me from before? or is it all new crew here?

Pictures of the new one, the old one and my current ruby red charmer, the lariat. I'll have a matching pair.

The new baby...

Glad you are back. There are a few of us still here, but getting thinner all the time. Many have jumped to the S550, but a few of us are still hanging on to our S197's. Always loved the look of your '13. You had it looking like a GT500, very nice Vert!

You will have to give a review of the new ride once you get a chance. S550 vs S197, and of course the Performance pack and the new Automatic. So is the photo the car, or is it like that one?

hey bud, thanks for the welcome. Yeah that is the actual car. It's being primed for delivery on halloween. A review will be forthcoming after month 1 for sure. I'll be getting her in our rainy season so that will be interesting.

I am thinking of ordering the eibach progressive springs to drop the car 1" and improve handling
That wheel gap is downright cavernous LOL

Gave her the first wax today, and met up with my buddy Dave and his 2017 GT PP. Love the blue.

Too true. I love the car. So refined, but still so powerful.
I love the color of yours. So nice. Congrats again my friend.

Have you been driving your car lately Darren?
What are your impressions? Have you played with the drive modes yet?

I have been taking the LONG way to starbucks every day, sometimes twice or more in a day lol! I live on the edge of the forest and mountain range, with access to winding country roads just a couple blocks away. I've just turned 1000km on the odo, most of which is those coffee trips

So far my preferred drive mode is NORMAL with SPORT steering. I have played with sport drive mode but i need a longer trip into the fraser canyon with some stretches where i can really feel it. Too much traffic locally.
That being said, the sport drive mode is REALLY aggressive and gnarly. LOVE the downshift blips that the 10spd auto does quite nicely. In fact, the 10 speed auto is the best part of the package imo. It's amazing!

Previously I tested out the performance package 2, but decided that it just isn't the right fit for me. It's more for the weekend track warrior, and not great for daily use. The slicks, 6 spd manual and cloth interior just didn't suit my wants. I have ZERO regrets

here she is the day i test drove her while my truck got her first oil change. I now have a matching pair (of red vehicles that is)

just after my test drive

homecoming with big sister, the Lariat
