Am I the only one with this opinion?

People that I talk to say that side scoops on the Mustang are pointless like wisdom teeth, I say a Stang isn't a Stang without the scoops. Am I the only person who thinks this???

Well. they are pointless from a functionality standpoint. It just comes down to looks, and everybody has a different opinion.

I like mine, yes they're pointless, but so are wings/spoilers on 85-90% of cars. I wouldn't like mine without it though, that's for sure!

Yes they are useless nonfunctional. Be nice if a loss of mpg could be analyzed by a good labratory

I don't think they make the car look worse, but I don't have any plans to put side scoops on my car. Whatever floats your boat...

I have side scoops on my 08. I think they are part of the heritage, to a point. But I like them so they are staying.

I have been preaching about this for a while. I absolutely hate fake scoops. Fake scoops are something that's been used on many Mustangs for decades and it's always been one thing that really hurts the cars appeal. I say, if it's not functional, don't bother; OR make it functional. After all, the scoops were added originally with a purpose.

I mean, how many people harp on the import guys for their huge spoiler that literally sticks to the truck lid? Or using those fake aluminum fuel door covers? It just looks bad.

One of those opinions comes from someone with a 2001 pontiac grand prix with enough subs to power a rock concert which I think those are pointless because in my Stang if I put the top back and turn up thee radio it has the same effect and I'm all stock on the stereo system.

Well, almost anything could be done to a ridiculous point I suppose. But, fake items start off at being ridiculous.

FWIW, the side scoops on '94s and possibly some 95s are 'functional', at least in the sense that they allow air to pass through into the fenders.

Get a lot of negative responses (mostly on TMS about the "non functional" accessory package. But I get tons of compliments in person and I love mine

Everyone has their own taste

Only thing I dont like is that the hood scoops on the SN95 start to peel up at triple digit speeds....not that I'd know anything about that

Just like Obama's Constitutional Law Professor title, side scoops are worthless, but they look darn good.

I personally love the scoops - on the windows and behind the doors.

Life is full of useless things that cannot be rationally explained, like men having nipples, or Nancy Grace having a career, or why there isn't a camera on Garey Busey 24 hours a day.

Forgive the sacrilege Cdynaco, but I have often dreamed of a DHG Bullitt with side scoops....

I have a 95 made in March of that year exactly a month after I was born(true story) and my side scoops go all the way through and my hood scoops do as well although to build a Stang now and add the scoops its 200 bucks A PIECE!!!

Probably not, but I disagree with the statement that the scoops make the Mustang. They make *some* Mustangs, but others, they're just... not good. I like mine without, for example, and wouldn't ever want them... but that's just me. To each his own, and vive la difference!

Really they don't have a function so it's just what u perfer visually. I personally don't like them and will never put them on my mustang.
