My insurance is covering the repairs. The car was just towed to a body shop this morning. I'm just crossing my fingers that they don't call it a total loss and give me the value of the car. We're going to take them to civil court for the damages.

That is messed up, so sorry to hear about this 
Although it sounds like it could have been a setup with the girl, she's probably a victim of abuse and when the abuser is around she reverts back to submissive and he's always right.
Those two are poster children for the three strikes rule, and the girl for lying only gives them justification on their actions (in their mind).
You'll heal, the car will get fixed. You have the law on your side - pursue with a lawyer advising you every step of the way.

Thanks guys. One of her friends came into my work last night and told me the story she told her. She left a lot out of the story just talking to her friend. She had no reason to lie to her.
Oh, by the way (you guys will love this) She told the cop that I was gay! The cop knew we were on a date and she tells him I'm gay. I don't know who she thought she was protecting. If I was gay that would make it a hate crime.

Wow! That's ridiculous!...NTTAWWT. Hate crime all the way. Make sure to take pictures periodically of any and all bruising/injuries to make sure you catch them when they look their worst. Then when you present pictures of the injuries, you have pictures that show an awful *** whoopin' for the court/judge to see.

I've got pictures of everything. They all denied anything happened at all. For some reason if "nothing happened" and I was never there, she brought it up that I was gay. I've got texts saved from her after it happened as proof it happened.

make sure you press charges. I would have put the car in reverse for sure and tried to get out of there. I wondering if the date set you up ..... oh nooooo there's my ex go down this dirt road..... aaaaaaa yea stop and let them go by...yea right she needs a punch in the head too. she gave the cops false info and that is a crime. See if they will press charges on her too.
