83 miles?
[QUOTE="Fastoldman"]Lots of misinformation here, but will try and clear it up.
1. Cars are not dropped off at one Dealership and then driven to another due to a light load.
Wrong! My wife's car ended up in Chicago when ordered from Indy and it was driven there originally because "another shipment" was already headed that way. The car is 3 weeks old btw. This is recent.
Sadly, we looked at the sale paperwork and the OD reading stated 18 miles on it when we signed. No wonder she rolled her eyes at me when she read that. No worries though, being a CPA, she bought the car at 10k below cost.
I'm sure ford still made a bundle though.
Where's the rolling my eyes now emoticon on this app?

Btw, he ordered the car specifically. We cannot account the miles as "test drive."
It's logical that the car was driven from another location to his dealership. Option 2 is that someone joy rode it.
Having lost my 04 Mach 1 to a car wash joy rider, this makes me furious to even think about.
If I was the OP, I'd already be on the horn. Produce the documentation for "quality control" and all is well.

Your wife's car may have been accidentally been dropped at the wrong Dealership, and her Dealer decided to go get it, but he could have demanded that another truck pick it up as it is part of the contract with the Teamster's Union ( same reason shipping is charged the same in Detroit as it is in San Francisco ).
Been in the business for 22 years and only know of 2 times when a vehicle was dropped at the wrong destination. We required the trucking firm to retrieve it in both instances.
We trade with other Dealers all the time and then there are miles on the car, but this vehicle was special ordered for this gentleman. The only option is someone drove it excessively at the Dealership and that is uncalled for. He has every right to be upset.

Thanks again for all the feedback. I'll call the dealer this week and see what happens. However, I am not sure what I am looking for, other than the truth. It's not like they can "fix" it (roll the miles back). I'll post update after I talk to them. Thanks again for the help!
