Planning on getting a 2014 v6 with the fp6 appearance package for 24k. Gonna do 60 or 72 month financing at around 275 a month or 2013 5.0. Need help deciding.
Your not giving much information on the 2013 5.0? Lol

If gas isn't an issue then go V8. You rarely hear of owners saying they wish they got the 6 cylinder but you sure hear the reverse!! Don't be one of those saying, "I wish I got the V8" Only you know so think it through carefully. Either way, good luck!
I was in the same situation as you a few weeks ago. I didn't want to pay a lot (since we're about to buy my wife a new SUV) and found the cheapest base model GT on the lot. Only option was 3.73 gears. After a few weeks, and coming from a car w/ nav, XM radio, bluetooth, etc... I've got NO complaints... Bought a garmin and called it good.
When I was looking at Mustangs, it was 5.0 cars only. I wanted a V8 and the V6 was not even an option. I didn't care about fuel mileage as this car is not my daily driver. I wanted the power and sound. I bought a base model 14GT with the automatic tranny the only option and got it for $28,400. I didn't want or need the options the premium cars have. You have to decide what your priorities are. Is it the power you want or all of the additional options with better gas mileage.

Since this is not a DD I don't need all of the extra stuff the Premium has. My last car was fully loaded and I hardly ever used any of the extra stuff it had. I also want the V8 sound and you are not going to get that out of a V6 no matter how much power it makes. I also feel the more extra stuff you have, the more stuff to fail in the future. I plan on keeping this car for a long time and don't want to have to fix a bunch of electrical options that are expensive to fix later down the road.

I just went through this a week ago. I was looking for a great price on a first car for my son. I offered to help him buy a car, so we test drove the V6 with FP6. It was a nice car and I was impressed with the performance/acceleration of the 305hp car. My wife thought my son would like the car more and want to keep it longer if it had some options. Soon we were priced to just below base GT pricing. Once I found out that there are $4k in rebates on the Premium models and and additional $750 brochure coupon, I got the GT Premium for $20 a month more than the base GT. I think he'll keep the GT longer than he would a V6.
However, I still think of my v6 from time to time and reflect on what a solid, classy, aggressive, head turning, and VERY quick car it was.
In essence, remembering what it IS and was...
Not what it WASNT. Peace

These questions come up all the time. It's a Mustang. You know you want the V8. They look nicer, sound better, perform better, and aren't that bad on gas compared to the V6. No brainer unless you're 18 years old and can't afford the insurance on a GT.

I always forget about the insurance issue. That could be a difference maker.
Just curious, but what part of the 5.0 looks nicer compared to the 3.7 model Considering , both models look the same less the fog lamps (so not a fan of them) and the far less attractive trunk emblem on the GT model. I'm a bit confused on why the Gt model looks nicer than the 3.7 model?
