2012 Mustang V6 vs 2012 Camaro V6
2012 Mustang V6 vs 2012 Camaro V6
My choices are between these 2, but I've been looking at the 2013 & 2014 Mustangs as well. The 2014 Camaros tail lights are ugly. Not going that route. Anyways, I know people are gonna be biased with Mustang, but I'd like to hear why choose Mustang over Camaro?
The camaro is gonna be a boat compared to the mustang I would think. Honestly if you're gonna want pros on a camaro join a camaro forum. I wouldn't expect people on a camaro forum to know a whole hell of alot about a mustang.
Look into pre owned and let someone else take the hit. I saw a pristine 2012 GT premium on eBay with 10k mikes for 23k. Shop around!

As a former employee, I qualify for a significant discount on any GM product. That said, I bought a 2013 Mustang. My only b***h about it is that they wouldn't sell me a Grabber Blue with a Stone interior. I like everything about my little demon; the Camaro is a "Meh" car IMO. You buy whichever one you want-- I did.
Any kids?

Stone take off seat covers are quite easy to get as well. Affordable as well. I swapped my stone cloth to black leather but had the option of both in leather. Both sets go for $297 shipped from lance Cunningham ford.
I let the Wifey pick which she wanted as it is her car. Being vertically challenged the biggest problem with the Camaro was the blind spots, and the high door seals. Even with the power seat it just didn't fit her. The Mustang (which was my choice anyway) fit her much better. Like it has been said the Camaro is either a love or hate design. But, I do like the '14's better.
I worked at a gm stealership for awhile so I drove a couple camaros and I didn't care for them. They feel big and bulky and are absolutely terrible to see out of. Imo theres nothing worse than being in a car you can't see well out of. And with the Windows up ask high even looking out your door Windows kind of sucks. Plus mustangs are way better looking! Carmaro-what?
My roommate has a 2010 V6 Camaro. The blind spots are crazy. Its scary to change lanes since you are completely blind on the left side. His is a manual and shifter is clunky too, not nearly as smooth as mine. I think they look a but cartoonish too. He's driven mine plenty if times and says mine is faster and more refined. He's a Chevy guy and would never buy a mustang though. Camaros are more expensive too. Maybe the mustangs don't hold their values as well but you could probably get a used 13 V6 mustang cheaper than an 11 Camaro. Manuals go for even cheaper since dealerships have a hard time selling them so they are usually discounted. I got my 13 used with 12k miles for $17.5k last year.
I was watching a review on youtube about two years ago about the Mustang Vs. the Camaro. The guy doing the review was 6' and had a hard time fitting in the Camaro! He was hitting his head on the headliner! Something to think about if your tall. I know I would of never, ever fit in that thing and neither would my hubby! BTW IMO I think the Mustang is much more please to the eye.
The V6 Mustang with performance option is on the left and the 3.8 Genesis is on the right. I'm not so sure the Genesis is miles ahead as these numbers were pulled right from the above link.

Does the V6 Mustang come with 348 horsepower... No.
Does the V6 Mustang come with Track Ready suspension... Yes.. (at an inflated cost)
Does the V6 Mustang weigh more... Yes..
Does the V6 Mustang have a crappier interior... Yes..
Does the V6 Mustang carry the "Highschool Girl" stigma... Absolutely
When comparing V6 to V6 the Lambda 3.8 GDI is a much better engine. Plus the car is much nicer too. There is no reason to buy a Mustang V6 when there are better options out there. Ie. Genesis 3.8 Track or R-Spec, 370Z, etc...
You can get a 3.8 Track for around 30K MSRP... In that article a "Performance" V6 Mustang was over 30k MSRP.. You guys need to seriously get off your Mustang high horse (pun intended). There are better cars out there for the same price point as a V6 Mustang.
I'm with this guy. Ditch the V6s and just get a 5.0.

The 3.8 Genesis track starts at 33k, just for effect, I got my 13' GT premium with track pack and a few extras for 32k out the door. And I'm just about certain my track pack 5.0 would run circles around the track genesis. Not sure what the incentives are with Hyundai but a smart buyer using x-plan and such could get a "track" v6 for much lower than 33k. Both weigh about the same(3500) and the v6 mustang gets better gas mileage.
