Yeah but the 05 is definetely original, You have so many more options and the egronomics are 10x better, trust me. the whole ride is more subtle and smooth. I came from a 94 Gt, and it felt like I was riding a horse. But hey it's your ultimate decision and best of luck with whatever route you choose!

Looks and performance aside, in the long run, there's probably more value and certainty going with a new car rather than a used one that you don't have a complete maintanence history for.

Just my 2 cents, but I ordered an 05 V6.

Go with your gut...

You want a used 03GT over a beautiful brand spanking new 05  ...why not get best of both worlds and get a 05 vert V6...

Yeah but it only has 1000 miles on it. If it were me I would take the 03 vert. More fun and more performance. You'll put 1000 miles on that 05 in no time anyways.

On the other hand it doesn't make sense to buy a mustang for performance if you already have Cobra R. Especially since the 03 vert is the same bodystyle as the cobra R you already have.

In your case if you want another mustang I would go with the 05. In my case I would be getting the 03 vert. That is.. if I didn't already have my 05.

I'd probably go with the GT, for the nice V8 sound and the performance. 20k is kinda pricy for an 03 GT, maybe not a vert though.

I just found an 03 GT with 18k miles and a vortech s-trim for 19k:

03 GT link
Hey...
If you click on the link and select view inventory he has several USED 05 GT...for $29,900 !!!!!!!! There reduced from $32,000.......
:notnice:

Dear God....Used are going for this much? I bet I could make a quick 5 grand on mine then....

<shaking my head in amazement>

I think I'd rather have an 05 V6 than a 03 GT. The 05 is just too cool looking.

I'd do the GT. Although the interior of the '05 is a lot nicer...I take power over luxury every day of the week. Plus...in the GT, you can leave two (2) tire tracks in burnouts instead of just the one, which is kind of embarresing in a V6 when you're try to show off....PLUS...you can get the GT for cheaper....I bet you can get it below for 20K

I faced the same problem. My car was dying so I needed a new one asa[. My choices were an 03 GT or the 05 V6. I went with the V6 because besides power, I feel it is an overall better car. Either way, i'm sure you will be happy. Good luck!!

Something about a 03 with only 1000 miles doesnt sound right..but I am just a pessimest sometimes.
I am partial to the 05 V-6(can you tell) I love my V-6! Great looking car rides incredibly well, sounds pretty darn good as well.
Actually though this is a pretty lame topic that has pretty much been beaten to death. It will become a pi**ing contest between GT owners and V-6 owners..
Its your money. Do what YOU want!

If you're tall it’s easy get the 05 if your short it's easy get the 05. I'm 6'3" and my wife is 5' 1" and we both fit nice in the 05 but the last generation Mustang was a miss-fit for both of us.

We just test drove the GT with the top down. The dealer told us to hit the gas a little bit and get to know the power, it was a awsome car

I've been waiting for my 05 Gt for 2 months but to me, owning a Mustang 6 cylinder would be like being married to a very beautiful woman ----- that you have never seen naked!
