My wife and I just got back from getting some ice cream and a youngster in a newer Cobra convertible was driving next to me. He was chirping his tires in 2nd and 3rd and we weren't going very fast so I'm assuming he was running some low rear gears. I haven't done any serious racing for alot of years but assuming we were evenly matched in the driving skills area how bad would the Cobra have spanked me? BTW this is my first Mustang.

 

Your car can squawk 1-2, and 2-3 shifts too...

What year was the cobra though.
99 and 01, if stock you COULD possibly take (depending on your driving experience and his/hers)
03 and 04, uh...lets not go there, lets just say, you could get a free colon exam.

 

if he has low gears like 3:90's or something, he'd beat you in a short race, but if you dragged for a while, he might top out kinda low but i hope you dont go that fast!!!
