2000 Cobra R in NC
If anyone in NC lives close to Concord, there's a museum with a 2000 Cobra R. I've never seen one in person so I thought I'd let you guys know in case you'd like to see one.

1/4 mile = 13.2 @ 110
300ft dia skidpad = 1.02g

The Boss will definately eat up and spit out my R, all while having the radio and AC on 
But it's so much more than that. You figure 12 years of chassis and suspension development, the new 5.0 exceeding the hp and torque of the 5.4, computer advances with traction control, etc. and its easy to see why the Boss wins.
Yet when I hop in the R, it is so raw, untamed, you hear every little rock hitting the wheelwells, you feels the *** end coming around slightly on the track, etc. that it puts an equally huge smile on my face. I wouldn't trade either one cause they are both so unique.

Fine, one of the best transmissions I've ever felt.
40,000 miles, two open track events per year, and tranny is fine.
I change the fluid every other year, Royal Purple, and never had a problem.
On my second clutch, and that was mainly changed because of a squeaky TOB. I went with a SPEC II clutch and flywheel.

There's something to be said for having an engaging driving experience. You really can't put a price on that. As automotive technology continues to evolve, more and more layers of technology are being wedged between the driver and the road, oftentimes insulating the driver entirely and creating a dissociative driving experience. I love a raw and powerful vehicle.
On the flip side, I have come to appreciate traction control in a few instances where my tuchis was spared by the electronic nanny stepping in.
