That seems a little odd, but when I had my 93 Cobra and it was stock I beat a friends 03 Mach 1 on the highway. He was so pissed about it and really I couldn't believe it. The 1/4 miles times were easliy in the Mach's favor, but not on a roll on (60 punch and I let him have the move). I went right by him and would've kept going had he not let out.

What you might be feeling is the difference in the 2 engines torque and horsepower curves? It's hard to say.

its because 2 valves leave the line faster than 3 or 4 valves and 2 valves create torque before 3500 rpms were as the 4 valves make torque at 3500 to 4000 rpms

all the fox bodies "feel" faster cause the chasis is so much worse the then 05 chasis, I know my 91 "feels" faster but i contribute that to the fact that the car almost rips it self apart when i shift and the 05 is a lot smother
