I think that Ford has done a really good job on sound. The Shaker 1000 in the new car really rocks -- you can load the bass on Rock -- get a lot of detail with classical. I still like XM better than Sirius -- may have to make that change if there's no merger by the time my free 6 mos expires. I have the Mach 460 in my '01 -- and have always felt that it was much better than my other cars too -- so winners across the board.

Now that all of the bugs have been worked out of my 1000, I really like it! It's more than enough for those of us who are ever so slightly over the hill!

I think the system sounds good, even the 500 sounds pretty good, but I actually prefer the Sirus.

Sorry to hear about CompUSA. Perhaps it's just habit but I like the selection of XM -- more channels and from habit -- easier to access.
The Shaker 1000 grows on me. I only wish that it read more data from sirius -- sort of like the Honda / Acura interfact on XM.

Acura / Honda has scolling lines -- you get more than just channel info -- you get channel and artist / song info on the standard display.

You may get more info with the Nav and 500 combo -- but not with the 500 or 1000.

Don't want to brag about the weather too much. But I will break the top off this week as we're expecting mid 70s and sun Mon and Tues. The South . . .

I heard 39 today. To bad it's all cloudy and foggy. Plus everything's all wet and sloopy.
