I love coming to TMS, because of the wealth of info. Especially on S197's. We all know that the S197 section sis one of the busiest sections of TMS. And thats good and all.

But what is not good, is how almost everyone in there, treats it like a general chat. There are threads that don't even deal with S197's, and threads that have nothing to do with Mustangs at all, yet they arnt moved! WTH. It bugs the living crap out of me. And I'm not going to mention the countless reposts. Same question after same quiestion. Use the search button people!

I PM'ed Brad, about me being a mod, so threads would be in the appropriate section, but never heard back from him.

I guess I can only hope that someone steps up to the plate and makes sure threads go in the right section.

I suspect this topic is not as uncommon as anyone may think. With new members showing up all the time topics are gonna be repeated. The mods and admins here typically do a pretty good job keeping things organized. I suspect however with all of the, er, differences of opinion cropping up in some of the threads lately, the mods and admins are rather busy keeping the peace.


As for the search function it typically on most forum scripts

Find the button on the main thread list that says 'New Thread'.

The reasoning you have to become a MOD is the reasoning why you shouldn't be one. The good MODS moderate, they don't impose on others or get on power trips. Those that do that do create more problems than they solve.

 

Too bad I don't have the power to move this topic to the correct section "Testing, Help, Site Feedback & Suggestions" Anyway, if you point out the topics you are talking about they will be handled. We don't have time to go and look at every single topic that is created.

 

I forgot to mention how hard it is to constantly move topics to the right spot. Trust me, I have been trying ever since I was made a mod. For everyone one I move, 2 more are created in the wrong spot. Slowly you start to give up hope

Your right Glenn It must not have anything to do with the topic title sorry ! And Yes the Mods here are outstanding, ready tp pounch almost in a heatbeat ! My hats off to them at all times :-)

 

Oppressive mods would ruin this place, like so many other Mustang forums have been.
