Why can't we delete pics from our own albums?

I get an error when trying to delete pics from my own album. I'm trying to arrange pics by category and now have duplicates. Anyone else having the same issue?

Also hate the fact that when you add 1 pic to your gallery your gallery gets bumped to the last page. I was on the first page, now I am in limbo out there somewhere between 15 and 18
