Thumbs up

I saw this feature on TCCoA and I think it'd be a cool addition to TMS...

Does your server? have this option?

Yes we can do that, but it could possibly severly effect the forum performance due to the large amount of users we have. We may try it out and see how it runs. I'll run it by Brad to get his thoughts.

While we are at it, why not add video capabilities to see what the members are doing while they read the topics.

Now, that might be entertaining.

I'd be afraid of what I saw from you George.

I turned active members on for topics. I left it off for forums. I noticed a small increase in database useage, well see how it goes over the course of the day.

GEORGE, THOU ART A GENIUS!!!!!
:worship:

c'mon guys, think of the benefits of such a system!!!

i mean, every member would be able to see my 'fro live, in real-time! think what it'd do for morale! and dont get me started on the therapeautic benefits of seeing Arin's Afro every day :P it would raise the bar for online forums, which TMS has already done on numerous occasions.

think! you'll be the first enthusiast community to have live feed on an afro. talk about cutting edge!!!

and bragging rights! how many other sites can say "yeah, we got ourselves one o them live afro feeds"

none i tell you, none!

INDUSTRY LEADERS!!!!! thats what you'll be. it'll be the start of a whole new generation of online forum browsing. but be wary, there will be copycats soon. Stangnet will probably put up a feed on some dude with dreads...

and them GM sites will surely have a mullet-feed sporouting up somewheres.

but i guarantee none will be able to match the uber-cool, uber-sexy Afro.

you will be world reknowned as the best online forum of anything. ANYTHING!!!!

Arin: Don't cut your "fro". You are right!.
It gives you an unusual and unique look impossible to duplicate.
It's... it's... it's very original. You should be PROUD!!!

greatness IS hard to duplicate. we cant all be sexy you know

[seriousness=on]
actually i do plan on cutting it sometime. the only reason i originally decided to grow it was so that once i got to ten inches i could donate it to a kemotherapy person who doesnt have any hair anymore. like they have these places where you donate hair for wigs for people.
[seriousness=off]

but until then, its mine to enjoy :P and flaunt :P

A patent would not be a bad idea as to insure exclusive rights on your physique.

Ummm, have you ever actually LOOKED at the bottom of a thread? That feature is already there. For example, right now it says "2 User(s) are reading this topic (0 Guests and 1 Anonymous Users)" then "1 Members: HadAStang" below that. Pretty much tells me who reading!
